We wish to appoint a supervisor to join our dedicated, high-performing Venue Presentation team, responsible for all housekeeping requirements both front and back-of-house, delivering a clean, hygienic, and presentable space, maintaining a professional welcoming environment of international standards for all clients, guests and employees.
This is a casual position based at the Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre.
The supervisor position is a hands-on role, overseeing, supporting and working as part of the team on shift work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
All services will be delivered with a positive & professional attitude, world class quality standards and the values of manaaki o Te Pae, providing our clients and guests an experience like no other.
ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will
- Have a minimum of one year experience as a supervisor in a similar role, preferably within a
conference facility, large reputable hotel.
- Have knowledge and experience with cleaning procedures, processes, equipment and chemicals.
- Have knowledge of basic health & safety in the workplace and specific to cleaning services.
- Have good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Display an excellent level of attention to detail and high-quality control standards.
- Be willing and able to assist with on-the-job training.
- Be able to work unsupervised, with a high level of integrity.
- Be physically fit and able to work on their feet for extended hours.
- M ust be able to work early morning and evening shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre has been designed as Otautahi Christchurch's 'gathering place'. A key part of the regeneration of the city, the Government's investment in Te Pae Christchurch is set to act as a catalyst - not only for the growth and development of the city, but as a way of building lasting social, cultural and economic connections between the region and the world.
