At Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki | Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA), we support tamariki, whānau and kaimahi across our kindergartens, KiNZ centres and support services throughout Tāmaki Makaurau, prioritising health, safety and wellbeing while enabling high-quality early learning outcomes. We are looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to help strengthen safe, healthy and supportive workplaces across our network and embed a proactive health, safety and wellbeing culture.
Working closely with the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Lead Partner, you will provide advice to leaders, support incident and risk management, contribute to wellbeing initiatives, and help improve our health and safety systems, reporting and processes.
About the role
You will:
- Provide practical H&S and wellbeing advice to leaders
- Support incident management, investigations and corrective actions
- Maintain H&S systems, risk registers and reporting
- Analyse trends and recommend preventative actions
- Support wellbeing, early intervention and return-to-work processes
- Contribute to H&S projects and continuous improvement
What we are looking for
You will bring:
- Experience in a health and safety advisory or specialist role
- Strong knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- Experience with workplace H&S systems and reporting
- Confidence working with leaders across a multi-site organisation
- Strong communication, relationship-building and influencing skills
- A practical, calm and solutions-focused approach
- A clean, valid driver’s licence
Experience in education or early childhood would be an advantage but is not essential.
