The Role

This is a senior, outward-facing position focused on building and strengthening relationships across the education sector. You will engage with industry groups, leaders and key stakeholders to support professional growth and capability development.

The role offers a strong mix of strategy and delivery. You will contribute to the design of initiatives, analyse insights and data, and bring programmes to life through engagement, workshops and presentations.

The Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships across the education sector
  • Deliver workshops, presentations and sector engagement activities
  • Contribute to, lead projects and key initiatives
  • Support the development of professional practice and capability
  • Represent the organisation and acting as an ambassador for its regulatory role
  • Develop content and resources to support the profession.

About you

You are relationship-focused, confident engaging with a range of stakeholders and comfortable operating in a values-driven environment with a strong commitment to te Tiriti o Waitangi.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Bring

  • Current full teacher registration, preferably within Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • Experience at a middle leadership level, such as Centre Manager or similar
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Confidence presenting and facilitating in group settings
  • Experience working across professional practice, projects or initiatives
  • Competent written communication skills and ability to develop content
  • Ability to travel nationally visiting main cities or regions.
