As Assistant Cleaning Manager, you will support the Cleaning Manager in delivering high‑quality cleaning operations across
Forsyth Barr Stadium. You’ll ensure all services are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual and operational standards, while leading and developing a high‑performing team. This is a permanent position with 30 hours guaranteed per week.
Ko o kawenga | Your responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and support cleaning teams to ensure high standards across all areas of the stadium.
- Lead and manage people through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Assist with rostering, recruitment support, and onboarding of new team members.
- Maintain safe and compliant operations by enforcing health & safety and cleaning standards.
- Manage operational performance including reporting, cost awareness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Proven experience in cleaning, facilities, or a similar environment with supervisory or leadership experience.
- A confident and approachable leader with strong communication and team engagement skills.
- Hands‑on, reliable, and physically fit with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong understanding of workplace health & safety and compliance requirements.
- Flexible and proactive, with a positive attitude and a commitment to high standards.
