Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our team in Wellington.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be right in the mix - supporting project delivery, working closely with site teams, and helping keep everything on track from a technical and delivery perspective. You'll be involved across the full lifecycle of projects, from planning and tendering through to completion.

The key responsibilities in this role include:

• Support the development of project methodologies, budgets, and construction programmes
• Assist in managing contracts to ensure delivery meets clients' expectations and specifications, with a focus on Zero Harm, Quality and Environmental compliance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client representatives
• Identify and assist with contractual issues, variations, and compliance matters
• Provide coaching, mentoring and on the job development opportunities

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

You'll will be someone who takes a collaborative approach and strives for excellence. We'd also value:

• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent (BE or NZCE, business management or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Project or Site Engineer within the Construction industry
• Strong understanding of contract management and project delivery processes
• Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with clients and sub-contractors
• Understanding of financial and accounting processes
• Demonstrated ability to support a culture of safety, quality, and environmental excellence
