Our Retail Operations & Transformation team are laser-focused on critical metrics—driving SAP support, efficiency of in-store operations, checkout performance and play a key role with new store openings & ownership changes across all three banners.
Te Tūranga – About the role
As our Retail Operations Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact supporting store openings, refurbishments, and Change of Ownership (COO) activity across our network.
Operating as a retail operations helpdesk, you’ll triage and resolve queries, support store teams through key transitions, and ensure operational readiness from pre-opening through to post-go-live stabilisation.
You’ll work closely with Retail Operations, Property, Membership and Programme Teams to deliver consistent support and seamless store transitions.
Ngā kawenga – What you’ll be doing
- Act as the primary helpdesk for store opening and COO operational support
- Log, triage, resolve or escalate queries through support channels
- Support stores during readiness, opening, and stabilisation phases
- Assist Operators and Store Leadership with systems, processes, and operational readiness
- Maintain accurate records of issues, actions, and outcomes
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver consistent operational support Support refurbishment and change initiatives across the network
He kōrero mōu – About you
You’re a practical, solutions-focused operator who thrives in fast-paced retail environments. You’ll bring:
- 2–4 years’ experience in retail operations, store support, or coordination roles
- Experience supporting store openings, refurbishments, or transitions
- Strong understanding of grocery or multi-site retail operations
- Experience working with systems (SAP or similar) and troubleshooting issues
- Proven ability to prioritise, triage, and resolve operational challenges
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support diverse stakeholders
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail A customer-first, store-first mindset
