Motel Manager

We are seeking a Motel Manager in Hamilton. This is a full-time position (minimum of 30 hours a week).

The Role

Day-to-day work may include, but not be limited to:

  • Recruit, train, and monitor all staff and assess performance

  • Handle administrative tasks, such as payrolls, and develop marketing initiatives

  • Ensure health and safety requirements are met

  • Manage the motel sales channel accounts

  • Make financial decisions, plan budgets, and keep accounts

  • Direct daily activities of front office and housekeeping, supervise staff, and arrange rosters

  • Organise and coordinate events

  • Deal with customers’ complaints and concerns

  • Market establishment

  • Manage stock and purchase supplies from outside vendors

  • Answer questions about motel policies and services

  • Replay guests' requirements and reviews

  • Arrange tours and transportation for guest

  • Carry out inspection of security and property and service

  • Oversee reservation and operations have a complete understanding of all job duties (including reservations, reception, and housekeeping)

Our successful applicants will have

  • A relevant qualification (diploma or higher) in hospitality management

  • At least three years’ work experience in a motel business

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Highly responsible and reliable

  • Accept flexible working hours

  • Able to work at weekends and public holidays

  • Great people skills both with fellow workmates and customers

  • Honest, trustworthy & well presented

  • Be drug and alcohol-free
