We are currently partnering with the Ministry of Education to recruit

Six Subject Matter Expert Lead roles within the SMART Student Monitoring Assessment and Reporting Tool Programme

These roles sit within a nationally significant programme supporting schools and kura to monitor and evaluate student progress across

Maths Reading Writing and their Maori medium equivalents

Pangarau Panui Tuhituhi aligned to both the New Zealand Curriculum NZC and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa TMoA

SMART is a core Ministry platform used by schools to collect consistent reliable achievement data and support evidence based teaching curriculum planning and reporting to learners and whanau

In this role you will focus on reviewing and quality assuring assessment content within SMART ensuring that assessments

Are aligned to the relevant curriculum NZC or TMoA

Accurately measure student learning and progress

Produce meaningful and reliable insights for teachers and schools

These positions sit at the intersection of curriculum expertise assessment and quality improvement Unlike traditional content development roles the focus is not on creating assessments from scratch but on ensuring their validity reliability and effectiveness in real classroom contexts

You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external subject matter experts contributing to the continuous improvement of a platform that directly impacts teaching practice and learner outcomes across Aotearoa
