The Role

This newly shaped position has been designed to bring together financial reporting and commercial finance capability into one high-impact role.

You will operate across both core finance processes and business-facing commercial work. You will not be sitting in the background. Instead, you will be actively involved in supporting decision-making, influencing outcomes, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.

On the technical side, you will support month-end, financial reporting, reconciliations, and board-level outputs. On the commercial side, you will work closely with operational and project teams to provide insights on capital projects, investment decisions, performance, and business cases.

This role offers genuine breadth and is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond pure reporting into a more rounded commercial finance position.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Month-end, half-year and year-end reporting
• Financial statements, reconciliations and board reporting support
• Cashflow and treasury-related analysis
• Partnering with stakeholders on capital projects and investment decisions
• Managing WIP and asset capitalisation
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business case development
• Providing commercial insights to support decision-making
• Building better reporting and dashboards using Excel and Power BI
• Identifying risks, opportunities and process improvements

Role Requirements

We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who is comfortable operating across both technical and stakeholder-facing work.

You may be coming from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm looking for your first or second move into industry, or already in a commercial role and wanting more breadth and visibility.

You Will Likely Bring

• CA qualified, or close to completion
• Strong grounding in financial reporting and accounting fundamentals
• Confidence working with non-finance stakeholders
• Ability to translate numbers into clear commercial insights
• Advanced Excel capability
• Exposure to Power BI or analytics tools is a bonus
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proactive, curious mindset with the confidence to challenge and add value
