- Coach leaders and mentor Advisors to build capability across the business
- 12-month fixed term starting mid July 2026 until August 2027 with exposure to projects and change activity
- Auckland (Highbrook) or Wellington (CBD) based with WFH flex
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Senior People Advisor with us, you'll provide expert HR advice and support across a wide range of employment relations and change matters. Working closely with leaders, you'll play a key role in helping them navigate complex people challenges while strengthening their capability and confidence. This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity, covering parental leave.
You'll be part of a collaborative People Advisory Practice, taking ownership of complex cases end to end while mentoring Advisors and contributing to projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
You'll Achieve This By
- Providing expert advice on ER, policy, performance and change matters
- Managing complex cases including investigations, grievances and mediation
- Coaching and influencing leaders to uplift people capability
- Mentoring and guiding People Advisors on more complex work
- Partnering with offshore teams to ensure quality and consistency
- Contributing to projects, policy development and continuous improvement

As an experienced HR practitioner, you'll have deep expertise in employee relations and a passion for helping others succeed. You bring sound judgement, confidence in managing complexity, and the ability to build credibility quickly with leaders and stakeholders.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and you're motivated by both delivering outcomes and improving how work gets done. You're also someone who naturally shares knowledge and supports others to grow.
You'll Combine That With
- Strong experience in HR advisory with a focus on complex ER matters
- Confidence managing serious misconduct, investigations and personal grievance issues
- The ability to coach and influence leaders across different levels
- Experience working in unionised and complex environments
- Capability to mentor and lift the capability of junior Advisors
- A proactive mindset with a focus on improvement and quality outcomes
