Solution Architect

Solution Architect | 6-month contract | Auckland (Hybrid)

We're partnering with a large organisation undertaking a significant data platform transformation and looking for an experienced Solution Architect to help drive the next phase of delivery.

This is a senior role sitting at the intersection of architecture and delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, reusable, and aligned to long-term platform strategy while remaining practical and achievable for delivery teams.

About The Role

As Solution Architect, you'll be responsible for translating architectural direction into tangible, implementable solutions across a complex, multi-stream delivery environment.

Responsibilities

You'll work closely with engineering teams, delivery leads, product owners and stakeholders to ensure consistency of design, strong governance, and sustainable platform growth. Your key responsibilities include:

• Designing end-to-end data solutions across ingestion, transformation, modelling and consumption layers
• Developing solution architectures aligned to target-state platform standards and reference architectures
• Defining integration patterns across batch, API, streaming and event-driven environments
• Supporting the design of AI-enabled data consumption capabilities and semantic models
• Guiding Snowflake data modelling, optimisation and platform best practices
• Producing high-quality architecture artefacts, documentation and design standards

About You

You'll Be An Experienced Solution Architect Who Can Operate Comfortably In Complex Enterprise Environments, Balancing Strategic Thinking With Hands-on Delivery Support. You'll Bring

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect within cloud, data or analytics platforms
• Strong experience designing end-to-end data solutions from ingestion through to consumption
• Deep expertise with Snowflake
• Strong understanding of modern integration approaches including APIs, event-driven architectures and data pipelines
• Exposure to tools such as dbt, data catalogues, lineage tooling, CI/CD or DevSecOps practices would be beneficial
