M ō te T ūranga | About the Role
As Security Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the Security function at SkyCity Hamilton, ensuring high-quality, compliant and customer-focused security services across a 24/7 operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, developing and supporting a team of Security leaders and team members across all shifts
- Implementing SkyCity’s Security strategies, operating plans and compliance programmes
- Managing security responses to incidents, emergencies and investigations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, Host Responsibility and AML requirements
- Managing the Security operating budget and identifying opportunities for efficiencies
- Management of team rosters
This role reports to the Head of Support Services and plays a key role in protecting people, assets and SkyCity’s reputation.
M ōu | About You
You’re a confident and inclusive leader with experience managing security operations in a complex, regulated environment. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading Security teams, ideally within a large or highly regulated organisation, including management of rosters
- Strong operational leadership skills, including coaching, development and performance management
- Experience in emergency response planning, incident management and investigations
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and first responder requirements
- The ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, regulators and emergency services
- A current Certificate of Approval (COA), or the ability to obtain one, and the flexibility to work across a 24/7 operation
