Job Summary (Purpose)

Reporting to the Foodstuffs Team Leader this great role of Foodstuffs Shopper Development Manager - National, will be pivotal in accelerating growth in this strategic retailer, growing customer engagement and collaboration and building our brand penetration across the Awareness, Consideration, Purchase and Loyalty framework. Playing a key role in the Customer Development team, this position is responsible for the development and execution of a truly omnichannel category strategy. Utilising strong analytical skills to gain insights, the Shopper Development Manager must coordinate category solutions & range reviews and bring these to life in the market. They must also ensure the clear communication and alignment of strategies across the broader team. Critical to this exciting role, is an ability to work within a cross functional team in a fast paced environment with numerous internal and external stakeholders.

This person will champion a growth mindset with strong ambitions to grow, underpinned by data, insights, best practice learning and collaboration. Building a comprehensive understanding of the Foodstuffs Ecosystem will be key, and it will be paramount to share the knowledge back to the organisation in order to unlock growth opportunities. The role has great freedom to perform within the framework and suits a highly curious and passionate individual.

Main Responsibilities

  • Development and execution of category strategy
  • Lead Environmental Scans i.e the mining of Category Insights across a wide array of data sources
  • Be a champion online and offline Consumer and Shopper knowledge to develop Category Stories
  • Work closely with Foodstuffs as a Category Consultant
  • Cross-functional engagement with Digital hub, Insights, Retail Marketing and Consumer Marketing teams
  • Identification of knowledge gaps and highlight to the wider Commercial team
  • Translation of analytics into relevant customer planning
  • Planogram development – Apollo space planning tool
  • All other duties as directed by the Company

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working in consumer product goods preferred
  • Google Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs) preferred
