Wakefield Hospital, located in the heart of Wellington, provides high-quality private healthcare services. Cater Plus is proud to deliver exceptional food services to patients, staff, and visitors — and we’re looking for a Catering Services Manager to help lead this at site level.

About the Role

As Catering Services Manager, you will support the Site Manager in delivering a high-performing, customer-focused catering service. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining service standards, and supporting the wider kitchen and host team.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the Site Manager in delivering excellent food service and customer experience
  • Supervise and support host and kitchen support staff, ensuring they are trained and performing effectively
  • Promote a strong customer service culture and consistently deliver high-quality service
  • Continuously work on building a strong working relationships with the Care Staff and Hospital Managers.
  • Help resolve customer queries or concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
  • Assist with rostering and contribute to achieving labour and cost targets
  • Ensure adherence to Cater Plus policies, including Health & Safety and Food Control Plan
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant kitchen environment
  • Support ongoing improvement by providing feedback and identifying opportunities
  • Assist with reporting and operational requirements, including health and safety processes

  • Experienced in hospitality or food service (supervisory experience preferred)
  • Keen to contribute to continuous improvement and a strong team culture
