We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Public Service Fale to provide leadership of a small, motivated team focussed on public sector strengthening advice and support to Pacific public service leaders.

About the role

The Manager leads the Public Service Fale team, who deliver public sector strengthening advice and support to Pacific Public Service Commissioners and other Pacific public service leaders. You'll support planning, delivery, and reporting of the Fale annual work plan, and ensure services provided by the team are timely, relevant, and aligned with Pacific and NZ government priorities for public sector strengthening and good governance.

Key responsibilities include

  • Lead a high-performing team to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with Pacific Public Service Commissioners, MFAT, and development partners.
  • Support planning, delivery, and reporting of the Fale annual work plan.
  • Foster collaboration and model effective communication across the region.

Public Service Commission Te Kawa Mataaho leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.

This position sits within the Public Service Fale, a regional centre of excellence funded by MFAT, supporting 16 Pacific Public Service Commissioners to strengthen public services for their citizens.

Salary

The full salary range for the band is $165,912 to $244,540. We typically look to appoint to role between $165,912 to $215,281, depending on skills and experience.
