TA Lead / P&C Business Partner

In this key role you’ll own and govern all recruitment across Tower in New Zealand and the Pacific. You’ll set the standard for how we attract, engage, and hire talent — ensuring every candidate has a thoughtful, high-quality, and genuinely human experience.

You’ll lead the full talent acquisition function, while also partnering closely with our senior leaders and taking ownership of executive and critical hiring. Alongside this, you’ll step into a People & Culture Business Partner lens, supporting a small portfolio and contributing to broader people initiatives.

What you’ll do

You’ll take ownership of our recruitment function end-to-end and shape how we do things going forward:

  • Lead and govern all recruitment across Tower NZ and the Pacific, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment to our strategy
  • Own senior leader and critical role recruitment, partnering closely with ELT and senior stakeholders
  • Champion a bespoke, high-quality candidate experience that reflects who we are as an organisation
  • Lead and evolve our recruitment strategy, including sourcing, pipelining, EVP, and campaign management
  • Manage agency relationships and recruitment budgets to ensure the right balance of partners and outcomes
  • Coach and support hiring leaders to lift capability and confidence in recruitment decisions
  • Build and maintain strong, diverse talent pipelines across key roles and markets
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and ways of working across talent acquisition
  • Contribute to People & Culture initiatives that support our culture, EVP, and future workforce needs

Alongside this, you’ll:

  • Support a small P&C portfolio as a Business Partner
  • Provide pragmatic, people-centred advice to leaders
  • Get exposure across ER, change, and people strategy — building your broader P&C capability

In your first 6–12 months, success will look like

  • Clear ownership and visibility of recruitment across Tower
  • Strong relationships with senior leaders and high trust in your advice
  • Improved candidate experience and hiring outcomes across key roles
  • A clear recruitment strategy in place, with strong pipelines for critical roles
  • Recruitment processes that are consistent, efficient, and easy for leaders to engage with

To thrive in this role, you’ll need

  • Strong experience in talent acquisition or recruitment leadership
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decisions
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment and delivering across a range of roles
  • Confidence owning agency relationships, budgets, and recruitment strategy
  • A genuine passion for candidate experience and doing the right thing for people
  • Curiosity and drive to improve how things work — not just maintain them
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly across the business
  • Interest in (or early experience with) People & Culture / Business Partnering
