Mō te tūnga | About the role

As a Life Coach within our disability support organization, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with people with disabilities, accompanying them in their community interactions and experiences. Your role will involve developing and implementing programs and workshops that promote learning opportunities and growth. By establishing and maintaining positive relationships with the individuals choosing our services, as well as your colleagues and other social and disability services, you will contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Possesses a minimum NZQA Level 5 qualification, which is essential for the role.
  • Demonstrates a genuine desire and commitment to fostering an inclusive community and actively participates in facilitating its realization.
  • Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and effective communication with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Holds a valid New Zealand driver's license, enabling mobility and accessibility in carrying out the responsibilities of the role.
  • Displays a friendly and personable demeanour, genuinely enjoying working alongside individuals.
  • Possesses exceptional communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
