Te Tūranga i The Role

We’re looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our high-performing finance team and play a key role in shaping business decisions through impactful financial planning and analysis on a 12 month fixed term basis.

The Senior FP&A Analyst is a key contributor to the financial planning and analysis function, responsible for assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles across designated business units. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail and is confident deep-diving into large datasets, to provide high-quality analysis that supports business performance and informed decision-making.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, the position plays an important role in identifying risks, opportunities, and commercial drivers across the organisation.

This role also contributes to the ongoing development of the FP&A function through process improvement initiatives, enhanced reporting capabilities, and support of best-practice financial planning frameworks.

NGĀ HAEPAPA | ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles for assigned areas
  • Perform in-depth variance and trend analysis
  • Develop financial models to support strategic decisions
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights
  • Automate and optimise reporting processes
  • Support long-term planning and scenario analysis

NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO | WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You’ll bring strong financial planning and analysis experience, including ownership of variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting cycles, a solid understanding of operational and financial drivers, and advanced Excel and modelling skills. You are confident working with FP&A systems and enterprise tools, and you can translate data into clear, actionable insights using tools such as Power BI, ideally supported by experience in media or subscription-based businesses and exposure to transformation or systems improvement projects.

You enjoy working closely with others across the business and building genuine, trusted relationships with stakeholders. You bring a naturally curious and proactive mindset, combined with a collaborative spirit and a practical, solutions-focused approach, helping you thrive in fast-paced and evolving environments.
