Te Tūranga i The Role

As a Content Planner, you will have ownership of a selection of sporting codes that Sky hold the rights for. Using the information provided and in accordance with the content strategy, you will schedule the live events and associated support programming across the Sky Sport branded channels and platforms. As an Entertainment Content Planner, you will be responsible for planning across multiple Sky owned and operated Entertainment channels. Using the information provided and in accordance with the content strategy, you will provide the detailed plan for the offshore team to schedule linear channels and associated digital content across Sky Entertainment channels and platforms.

NGĀ HAEPAPA | ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for planning and scheduling a selection of sports and their respective tournaments/competitions. This includes live, replays, highlights and any non-live content related to those sports. (Sports only)
  • Responsible for planning and communicating the detailed schedules of multiple Sky fully built Entertainment channels or Prime to offshore team (Entertainment only)
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the end-to-end scheduling process, including content, commercials, promos and on-demand.
  • Execution of schedules in IBMS will be the primary responsibility of Content Planners for the work they are accountable for.
  • Ensuring that the customer experience of Sky content is at a high-quality level, delivered to Play-out on-time, accurately, and fault-free
  • Ensuring late amendments are smoothly transitioned into schedules with minimal delay and disruption
  • Understanding and integrating the bigger picture around the positioning of content to ensure scheduling meets the requirements set out by the broader content strategy for the channel or platform at hand
  • Providing feedback to Content Planning Leads and Content Leads on improvement opportunities across the Content workflow that supports a 'right first time' content delivery mechanism
  • Liaising with internal teams i.e. Advertising Traffic Coordinators, On-air, Promos, Customer etc where required
  • Continuously learning from your peers, working collaboratively to share different scheduling approaches to support and increase in capability and performance
  • Communication between respective onsite-offshore team as part of daily collaboration and ways of working, to deliver desired outcome of scheduling content

NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO | WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • B asic/Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office in Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Previous Scheduling and Television experience with understanding of scheduling and the television industry
  • Previous knowledge working with an automated scheduling system
  • Knowledge of workflows related to the television environment
  • Working understanding of Broadcast Standards Authority regulations and implications
