About the Role

This is a physical, hands-on role where you’ll spend much of your time carrying out litter collection services across Tauranga. You’ll work outdoors in a fast-paced environment helping keep public spaces clean, safe, and well presented.

Alongside litter collection, you’ll also support a range of infrastructure operations including:

  • Street sweeping

  • Leaf and debris blowouts

  • Recycling collection using compactor vehicles

  • General infrastructure and maintenance support activities

No two days are the same, and flexibility is important as operational priorities can change depending on weather, events, and seasonal demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out litter collection and public space cleaning services

  • Operate infrastructure and specialist vehicles safely and efficiently

  • Complete pre-start vehicle and equipment checks

  • Support street sweeping, blowouts, and recycling operations as required

  • Work safely and follow company procedures at all times

  • Deliver high-quality service to councils, clients, and the public

About You

Ideally, you will have:

  • A full Class 2 licence

  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude

  • Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all conditions

  • Reliability and the ability to work independently and within a team

  • Flexibility to work early starts and changing shifts when required

  • Experience in infrastructure, cleaning, waste, civil, or related industries (preferred but not essential)

What We Offer

  • Stable, full-time work with a well-established national company

  • A supportive team environment

  • Ongoing training and development opportunities

  • Variety in your day-to-day work

  • Opportunities to grow your career within Intergroup

If you enjoy practical work, like being outdoors, and want to be part of a team delivering essential services to the Tauranga community, we’d like to hear from you.
