The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a strong forward workload, this reputable civil contractor is seeking a Site Engineer to join their experienced team delivering multiple projects across the Wellington region.

This is a varied and hands-on role, offering exposure across the full project lifecycle. You will work on a diverse portfolio including land development, roading, water and general civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating daily site activities
• Monitoring construction progress and ensuring programme delivery
• Managing subcontractors and site resources
• Problem-solving and resolving on-site issues
• Overseeing quality assurance processes
• Driving health and safety compliance and best practice
• Preparing site reports and documentation

About You

• Proven experience in civil construction as a Site Engineer
• Relevant engineering qualification
• Sound knowledge of NZS 3910 contracts
• Effective communication and reporting skills
• Practical problem-solving ability and delivery mindset
• Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety and quality outcomes
• Ability to lead, motivate and work effectively within a team
