Quality Assurance Lead

Lead QA | Software Testing & Quality Leadership | Palmerston North

Pearson Carter are currently working with a global Kiwi tech company building solutions used worldwide. As the business continues to scale, they are placing quality at the centre of their engineering function and are now hiring a Lead QA to drive testing excellence across the platform.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape QA strategy, improve testing frameworks, and embed a strong quality-first culture across engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and improve QA processes and testing frameworks

Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing

Work closely with engineering, product, and support teams

Identify risks early and drive practical quality improvements

Support release confidence and software reliability

Contribute hands-on testing where required

Experience

Strong background in software testing and QA

Experience improving QA processes in engineering teams

Strong understanding of end-to-end and regression testing

Ability to work closely with developers in agile environments

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Proactive, hands-on approach to quality ownership
