The Opportunity

Aurora Energy’s graduate programme is designed to ensure you get the most out of your first two years in the industry. Our newest graduates will rotate through various teams in our asset management, network planning, operations, and delivery teams. Alongside regular guidance and support from people leaders in each team, you’ll also receive mentoring from our subject matter experts.

Who are we looking for?

  • Final-year or recent graduates in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Science
  • Strong communication, energetic "can-do" attitude, and a drive to embrace challenges in a fast-evolving industry
  • A genuine interest in powering a sustainable future and supporting diverse communities
  • Previous work experience (this doesn’t have to be industry related)
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand is required

The Role

  • Fixed-term, full-time, starting early July 2026 (start date negotiable).
  • Rotations across different teams
  • Ongoing mentoring and tailored development plans
  • Hands-on projects delivering real change for New Zealanders

This role is based in Dunedin, Otago. As part of the graduate programme, you’ll need to be open to relocating to Dunedin for the duration of the programme.
