Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our growing Auckland team in a key Trade Services leadership role.

In this position, you will lead and support a growing in-house team of trade professionals delivering high-quality maintenance services across a broad range of disciplines, including Electrical Technicians, HVAC Technicians, Carpenters, Plumbers, Painters, Roofers, Floor Installers, and more.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the end-to-end coordination of works — from scoping, quoting, and scheduling through to quality assurance and compliance. You will also support workforce planning, team performance, recruitment, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee 4+ direct reports (Site Foremen) and up to 10+ indirect reports, while working closely with the National Self-Perform Operational Support Manager and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, safe, and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a multi-trade internal team delivering maintenance services
  • Scope, price, and schedule works to meet client needs and project timelines
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards are maintained across all jobs
  • Drive team development, performance management, and succession planning
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver operational outcomes
  • Forecast and align internal resources to meet current and future workloads

Skills and Experience

  • Trade-qualified or hands-on background in maintenance, facilities management, or construction
  • Proven leadership experience managing field-based teams
  • Strong leadership capability with the confidence to make decisions, provide direction, and communicate effectively across all levels of the workforce
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Technically proficient with experience using digital systems and tools
  • Experience working within government or commercial contracts (desirable)
