Senior Legal Counsel
AA Insurance NZ
About The Role
This is a great opportunity to step into a newly created Senior Legal Counsel role at AA Insurance, driven by growth and increasing demand for legal support across the business. Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, you’ll join a high-performing team of three and play a key role in how legal support is delivered and embedded across the organisation.
You will work closely with senior leaders and teams across the organisation, advising on a mix of insurance, commercial, regulatory, governance, and operational matters in a complex, regulated environment. Your input will help shape decisions, manage risk, and enable the business to move forward with confidence. Whether it is supporting commercial initiatives, navigating regulatory questions, or providing practical day-to-day advice, you’ll bring a solutions-focused mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
This is a broad, business-facing role with real visibility, and you’ll be involved in key projects including transformation initiatives, product development, and regulatory change. This is a role where you can build strong relationships, influence outcomes, and see the direct impact of your work.
If you are looking for a senior in-house role that offers breadth, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution, this is a great opportunity to do so within a respected New Zealand organisation.
