Overview
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Broker to join our corporate team in Wellington. We would also consider the role at Broker level for the right candidate.
As part of an industry leading team, you’ll work closely with a corporate portfolio of clients by providing top quality service and technical advice and direction. As a Senior Broker, you will manage an established book of clients with broad risks portfolios where you will be responsible for handling general day to day queries, renewals, mid-term adjustments and supporting new business opportunities. You will be natural at engaging people with exceptional communication and relationship building skills to service, develop and maintain a well-established portfolio of loyal clients.
As a Broker, you will manage a smaller established book of clients, while supporting the Senior Brokers of the team in larger, more complex and sophisticated account management. This role carries substantial scope for growth, and we welcome applications from candidates who might be looking to take their next step in their career and looking to develop their skills.

How You'll Make An Impact
- Minimum of 3 years’ Broking experience and an in-depth understanding of commercial products and policy wordings (or 2 years insurance experience or equivalent skillset for Broker).
- Be a results-driven, highly motivated, self-starter who possesses integrity and a strong work ethic
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs
- Able to interpret, analyse and articulate key information clearly
- Demonstrated experience in developing high quality client-facing documentation including quotations, renewals, reports and new business submissions
- Proven track record in building and maintaining strong client relationships built on trusted advice and outstanding customer service
- Team player who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of self-awareness
- Holds or is working towards a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5)
