About the Role - Kitchen assistant
As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of fast food items in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fast food items
- Train kitchen staff
- Introduce new items to the menu
- Stock taking, stock ordering and reduce wastage
- Cost control
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and ovens
- Maintain a clean kitchen area and comply with health and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional service to customers with attention to detail
Experience and Attributes Required
- At least two years of relevant experience is required
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and public holidays
- The ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure;
- High-energy individual with the ability to cope well in a very fast paced environment.
Hourly rate starts from $28 for full-time, permanent roles with a minimum of 35 hours guaranteed.
Kitchen assistant
As a kitchen assistant, you will be responsible for assistaing with all tasks undertaken in the kitchen. Your role will include working with the kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring food safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation
- Clean cooking utensils and equipment
- Plating and serving food
- Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and ovens
- Maintain a clean kitchen area and comply with health and safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Provide exceptional service to customers with attention to detail
Experience and Attributes Required
- An experience of 6 months to 1 year is preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and public holidays
- The ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure;
- High-energy individual with the ability to cope well in a very fast paced environment.
Hourly rate starts from $25 for full-time, permanent roles with a minimum of 35 hours guaranteed.
