Formwork Carpenters Wanted

This is an excellent opportunity to work for an experienced and well-established Auckland based construction company.

We are looking for 2 full-time (minimum 30 hours to maximum 50 hours per week, working from Monday to Saturday) Formwork Carpenters to join our team on a Permanent basis. The location of work will be within the Otago Region.

You will need to ：

Formwork Carpenters are required to

• Read and understand specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans
• Prepare project work procedure and determine dimensions and materials required
• Plan the order and selection of timbers and other materials, and prepare layouts
• Shape and cut materials to specified measurements, using hand or power tools
• Assemble and nail prepared parts to form framework or structures or foundation for constructing buildings
• Construct building frames and install cladding on the inside and outside of buildings
• Remove and repair existing fittings, conduct renovation and maintenance service for the wood structures
• Complete concrete formwork when required
• To able to work with steel and metal materials when required

Successful candidates will also need to be/have

• have at least 1 year’s relevant work experience in the same field/industry, or
• have at least a relevant level 4 or equivalent qualification/certificate.
• a great team player, be able to follow instructions
• physically fit and willingness to work hard
• Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
• "can-do" attitude

We offer a competitive salary of $25.00 per hour and it could be negotiated to $27.00 per hour depending on your personal attributes and experiences.
