We are searching for a Fraud Analyst to join our Risk team, based in Invercargill on a fixed term, part-time basis.
The role contributes to the Bank’s approach to fraud and scam prevention through operational support activities, investigation assistance, dispute and chargeback coordination, and fraud education initiatives.
What you'll be busy with
- Assisting the Fraud Specialist and wider team with supporting investigations through identifying, documenting and reporting suspected fraud, scam, and mule activity.
- Supporting day‑to‑day fraud operations, including reviewing transaction alerts, monitoring queues, and escalating matters within required timeframes.
- Assisting with the accurate gathering of supporting documentation for fraud-related investigations.
- Liaising with Retail to support fraud or scam‑related queries and escalations.
- Supporting fraud recovery, liaising with peer banks in relation to fraud or scam events, including utilising recovery processes.
What you'll bring
Essential
- Experience in the banking/financial services industry.
- Computer literate and willingness to learn new tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage own time, and meet daily priorities.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Curious, ask questions, and seeks clarification.
Preferred
- Analytical, interpretation, problem solving and research skills.
- Good interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
- Can manage ambiguity and ensure escalations are timely.
- Knowledge of SBS systems, policies and procedures
This role is part-time 25 hours a week worked 5 hours a day Monday to Friday.
It is fixed term for up to 12 months.
