The Role
The Natural Stone Co is bringing on their first dedicated National Business Development Manager to drive growth across their architecture, design, and construction channels. This is a role for someone who wants genuine ownership of a national sales function with the full backing of an experienced team behind them.
You’ll be the trusted face of The Natural Stone Co in market, building and deepening relationships with architects, interior designers, specifiers, and high-end builders across New Zealand.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building and managing long-term relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and high-end builders primarily across Auckland with national travel
- Driving specification of products through the design and consent process
- Managing complex, long-cycle sales with patience, strategy, and genuine relationship depth
- Representing the brand with technical authority across product specifications, material performance, and NZ building code compliance
- Working alongside the internal support team to convert specifications through to delivery
About You
- A proven relationship seller, long-cycle specification-based B2B sales is your natural environment
- Technically credible, able to engage architects and designers on product and building requirements with genuine authority
- High EQ, comfortable navigating nuanced and complex clients and projects
- Self-directed and proactive with the ability to hit the ground running
- Background in premium building materials, surfaces, stone, tile, or an architecture-adjacent product is ideal
- Existing relationships within the NZ architecture and design community is a strong advantage
- Long-game mentality, you understand that the best relationships take time
