The Waikare Gorge Realignment project includes moving 4km of road (realignment) and a new bridge across the Waikare Gorge on State Highway 2 (SH2) at Pūtōrino north of Napier. The 4km realignment and new gorge bridge will make the highway safer and more resilient, offer better access for freight and communities and help avoid future emergency and recovery works in the gorge.
About You
We're on the hunt for an experienced Document Controller to join our team on the Waikare Gorge project. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a great opportunity to gain experience on a unique project in New Zealand.
The primary purpose of this position is to support the activities carried out by the Document Control team for, but not limited to, the development and implementation of the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS). The role also maintains the register of controlled documents and controls issuance and revisions in accordance with internal and external audit standards.
About You
You're the go-between a great many people, both on and off-site, so your communication and interpersonal skills are second to none! You're a mature communicator who knows how to be constructive in approach to get the best out of people. You have proven planning and project administration skills/experience. You are also analytical and skilled at reporting, pulling data together and making sense of it all. You're a great team player, but also have no difficulty in working autonomously when the work in front of you calls for it.
The skills, experience and competencies required for this role include:
- At least 1-2 years industry experience, 1 years of which must have been as Document Controller
- Construction/mining industry project experience, an advantage
- SharePoint experience a must, Autodesk Cloud Construction knowledge preferable
- Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills (knowledge of MS Office Suite and company software applications an advantage)
- High attention to detail
- Strong Communication Skills
- Problem Solving and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of Quality Standard in accordance to ISO:9001:2008
