We are looking for a strong communicator with excellent written capability who can distil complex information into clear, insightful reporting and bring a fresh perspective to strategic thinking.

The Strategy function within ASB’s Business and Corporate Banking divisions leads the development, execution, governance and communication of strategy. The team works closely with business streams to shape strategies that position ASB to win in chosen markets.

Leveraging strategy tools and frameworks, the team builds deep insight into our customers, competitors, environment and global trends to identify our point of differentiation and support business success.

As a Strategy & Planning Consultant, You Will

  • Lead the reporting function for Business and Corporate Banking, including Executive Leadership Team and Board reporting
  • Support the development, translation and coordination of strategy to enable successful delivery across the divisions
  • Monitor, track and test strategic initiatives, adapting where required to maintain alignment with the wider organisational strategy
  • Partner with the Head of Strategy and senior leaders across the business
  • Support Executives with the communication and translation of strategic initiatives and key projects

Based at ASB’s North Wharf office in Wynyard Quarter, this is a permanent position.

You thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and bring curiosity, strong analytical thinking and a drive to turn information into actionable insight. You are confident working with senior stakeholders and communicating clearly across a range of audiences.

Ideally, You Will Bring

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with 3+ years’ experience in a large corporate, consulting or professional services environment
  • Strong research and analytical capability, with the ability to generate meaningful insights and support strategic decisions
  • Sound business and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence others
