Trainee Electrical Fitter

About the Role

We're looking for two Trainee Electrical Fitters to join our Christchurch team.

This is a great opportunity to start your career in the electrical industry while completing your National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Electrical) Level 4 and working towards electrical registration. Working alongside experienced field crews, you'll gain hands-on experience across electrical construction, maintenance, substations, and street lighting projects.

You'll be involved in:

• Completing on and off-job apprenticeship training
• Supporting construction and maintenance of electrical infrastructure
• Assisting with substations, street lighting, and associated equipment
• Learning safe work practices and industry procedures
• Supporting field crews across a variety of projects and emergency response work

About you

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

• Completed an electrical pre-trade course or similar training
• Interest in building a long-term career in the electrical industry
• Good understanding of maths, science, and reading plans/instructions
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
• Current driver licence with manual vehicle capability
