Road Maintenance Worker

Ventia is seeking a reliable and motivated Cyclic Patrol Person to join our team in Paeroa. This role involves working in pairs, supporting daily maintenance and inspection activities across the network to ensure high standards of safety and service delivery.

About The Role

As a Cyclic Patrol Person, you’ll play an important role in monitoring road conditions, identifying issues, and supporting routine maintenance tasks. You’ll work closely with a team member each day, contributing to a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine patrols of the network alongside your team partner
• Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards, and defects
• Support day-to-day operational activities and minor maintenance works
• Assist with traffic management setups where required
• Maintain accurate records and reporting of daily activities
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards

What You’ll Bring

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team (working in pairs daily)
• Good awareness of health and safety practices
• Physical fitness for outdoor, hands-on work
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence (required)
• Previous experience in roading or infrastructure (advantageous but not essential)
