On behalf of Opteon, a leading valuation business in Australasia, Assemble are recruiting a Regional Director – Valuation Services (Metro) to join their team here in Auckland.

Opteon are a provider of independent, market leading valuation and property advisory services with over 80 offices and 700+ staff members, including over 500 valuers.

The Regional Director is a critical leadership role within the Valuation Operations team, responsible for driving high performance, service excellence and financial outcomes across the region. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure quality, consistency and efficiency in valuation delivery, while fostering a strong team culture aligned with Opteon’s values.

In your new position you will work closely with the Director of Valuation Operations and wider leadership team on key tasks including but not limited to:

  • Lead and develop a high performing regional team, promoting a strong culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Drive operational performance to ensure all valuation work meets quality standards, turnaround times and client expectations
  • Manage work-in-progress, resourcing and workflow to deliver outcomes on time and within budget
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, building and maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service
  • Identify and resolve client escalations, ensuring a proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Implement and support technical training, onboarding and professional development for valuers and graduates
  • Contribute to workforce and succession planning to ensure sustainable team capability and growth
  • Monitor key performance metrics including SLA delivery, quality standards and financial targets (including Gross Profit)

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Degree in Property or a related discipline
  • Registered Valuer (NZ) and member of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers
  • Significant leadership experience within the valuation industry, including managing and mentoring teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing financial performance and operational delivery
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and deliver high-quality service outcomes
