Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity – Programme Coordinator – Commercial

The Programme Coordinator – Commercial role sits within a high-profile programme supporting Auckland Transport’s bus procurement activity at a time of significant change for Auckland’s public transport network. This work contributes to the planning, coordination and commercial delivery of bus service contracts that support a growing, more reliable and increasingly low-emission fleet for the region. It is an opportunity to be part of a programme with visible public impact, long-term strategic importance, and strong alignment to Auckland Transport’s wider transport and sustainability goals.

As Programme Coordinator, you will play a key role in keeping the programme organised, connected and operating effectively day to day. You will coordinate core programme activities, support governance and reporting processes, and work closely with programme leadership and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to contribute to meaningful work that helps shape better transport outcomes for Auckland.

You will be a valued member of the Commercial team, providing trusted coordination and administrative support that enables the wider team to deliver on key objectives and strategic initiatives.

Key Tasks will include

  • Working collaboratively with the Programme Director, leadership team and wider programme team to support the delivery of programme outcomes.
  • Using established tools and templates to maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date programme documentation and records.
  • Coordinating key governance forums and working groups, including agendas, reports, meeting logistics and room bookings.
  • Preparing high-quality materials for board and committee meetings, including minutes, actions and follow-up items.
  • Producing regular and ad hoc reports, as required, to support effective programme oversight and decision-making.
  • Providing flexible coordination and administrative support across the Commercial function.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for sharing information across programme team members, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Working with finance partners to set up and process purchase orders and support the payment of programme invoices where required.
