About the role | Mō te tūranga

In this role, you’ll support New Zealanders through important life decisions - from putting a Will in place to setting up an Enduring Power of Attorney. Your days will be varied and people focused. You might be guiding a customer through their plans one moment, then out in the community the next - building relationships and raising awareness of what Public Trust can offer.

You’ll work closely with Age Concern, Citizens Advice Bureau, rest homes, and local community groups, becoming a trusted presence across your region. Regular travel is part of the role, across Rotorua, Whakatāne and surrounding Tauranga areas, typically visiting one location each week (sometimes twice weekly).

Working independently, you’ll manage your own appointments, think on your feet, and ensure customers receive clear, accurate advice.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead Wills and EPA conversations with customers
  • Build strong relationships across your local community
  • Represent Public Trust in the community and grow awareness of our services

You’re someone who connects easily with people and builds trust quickly. You’re able to take complex information and explain it in a clear, simple way that helps customers feel informed and at ease.

You enjoy being out in the community, meeting new people, and building genuine relationships. You’re confident starting conversations, representing what you do, and creating opportunities through those connections. You’re comfortable working independently, managing your own day, and using good judgement. You know when to seek advice and take pride in getting things right for your customers.

Most importantly, you’re motivated by making a difference - helping people feel supported and confident about their future.
