He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland Council’s Planning and Resource Consents department is looking for a motivated Regulatory Support Officer on a fixed-term basis to 30 June 2027. You will play a vital part in providing process support to the Resource Consents planning teams and team leaders.

Core responsibilities are the lodgement and updating of applications through to issue of the resource consent. You will also be responsible for associated financial transactions and customer enquiries.

Your adherence to business rules and processes is essential. To ensure our systems are accurate and well-maintained, attention to detail will be vital. This will support the smooth processing of consent applications, financial processes, management of stakeholders, and responses to customer enquiries.

He kōrero mōu: About you

To be successful in this role you will be system savvy, able to easily adapt to new technology, and have previous experience in administration and finance . Your excellent communication skills will help you excel in this customer-focused role. A proactive nature along with your great attention to detail and understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc) will strengthen your application. Previous experience using would make your application stand out.

Key skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Previous experience in a business administration and customer service
  • Confident working with complex databases and information.

This team works collaboratively therefore your experience building and maintaining relationships will be key.
