What you’ll do

An exciting opportunity to be the financial and commercial expert at the heart of Genesis' renewable energy journey. You'll take ownership of the modelling and analysis that drive our new generation and storage projects, ensuring that every decision is backed by great financial and commercial analysis and insights. Working closely with the wider asset development team, project and cross-functional teams, you'll embed strong analysis, clear and reporting and commercial thinking across all stages of development.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Asset Development, Strategy and Commercial, you'll bring complex financial data to life through clear, actionable insights that influence structuring, negotiations, acquisitions, and final investment decisions. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to grow decision-making capability and quality across the project's life cycle. Alongside this, you'll lead competitor analysis and provide the commercial intelligence that shapes both project prioritisation and Genesis' broader strategy. Your work will be central to advancing our renewable portfolio, delivering on our 8*28 and Gen35 targets, and strengthening internal capability for the future.

What you’ll need

You will bring deep financial expertise, preferably in renewable energy or infrastructure, and the ability to turn data into decisions. You're confident leading complex models, challenging assumptions, and providing insights that influence big decisions. You'll also bring a passion for mentoring others and embedding best practice across the business.

• CFA qualification and degree in Finance, Mathematics or related field
• 10 years'+ experience in financial services, advisory, consulting or renewable energy
• Strong expertise in corporate/project finance, investment analysis and commercial structuring for major capital projects
• Proven ability to lead and govern complex financial models with robust governance and assurance processes
• Experience in risk and sensitivity analysis, competitor insights, and market intelligence
• Collaborative leader with mentoring and capability-building experience.
