About The Role

• A position has become available for qualified relief kaiako to join our team on an on call, as needed basis.
• Our centre is a home away from home where we value free play and a relationship focused approach to teaching and learning. We believe that our tamariki are masters of learning through play. We support their autonomy to explore, learn and grow in a spacious, well-prepared environment and enormous outdoor play space.
• If you are a passionate, heart-led educator, who loves to have fun and work hard in a supportive team environment and loves building rich relationships, we can't wait to hear from you!
• Ideally you will have a heart for serving the local community as our centre operates within a community hub where we focus on supporting our families with complete wraparound services.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualifications and experience are essential.
• Strong communication skills, initiative and team spirit.
• Be passionate about supporting children in a relationship focused, play based learning environment.
• An understanding and commitment to respectful teaching and caregiving.
• An interest or in the work of Magda Gerber (RIE), Emmi Pikler and Reggio Emilia are a bonus but full learning support will be provided if you are open and willing to learn.
• The ability to be a reflective educator.
• Flexible, self motivated and with a desire to grow professionally and be a reflective educator.
• Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality.
• Candidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society'.

This role is casual hours only.

The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between

 $28.95 and $44.31.
