Position: Retail manager

Term: Permanent

Minimum Working Hours: At least 30 hours per week from Monday to Sunday

Salary: $31.00—$32.00 per hour

Place: Auckland

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organising and controlling the daily operations of the retail stores specializing in home textile products, including blankets, artificial flowers, decorative crafts and household items and others

  • Determining product mix, stock levels and service standards to meet customer demand and business objectives;

  • Formulating and implementing purchasing, pricing and marketing strategies for home furnishing and textile products;

  • Promoting and advertising the store’s products and services through in-store displays, and promotional campaigns;

  • Monitoring sales performance and analysing customer preferences to improve product selection and store profitability;

  • Maintaining records of stock levels, supplier orders, sales transactions

  • Undertaking budgeting, cost control and sales target management for the establishment;

  • Managing supplier relationships and coordinating purchasing and delivery schedules;

  • Recruiting, training, supervising and rostering staff to ensure efficient store operations and high customer service standards;

  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe and clean retail environment;

  • Handling customer enquiries, complaints and after-sales service to maintain customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Requirements

  • 2 year relevant working experience is required or relevant qualification

  • Be flexible towards working hours, especially working on weekends

  • Mature, responsible, strong can work under pressure and under the sunshine.
