We are seeking an experienced and driven
Operations Manager with proven function and events experience and a passion for culinary excellence to lead operational performance across multiple Business & Industry sites. In this key leadership role, you’ll need to focus on working closely with clients and building strong, trusted relationships whilst partnering with Site Managers to deliver operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and ensure we exceed client and customer expectations. You will champion safety as a core value, support sector strategy, and grow strong, high‑performing teams.
Ko ō Kawenga / Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead growth, retention and client relationship strategies through strong account planning, portfolio performance review, and delivery of high‑quality services.
- Drive financial performance by monitoring budgets, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting Unit Operations Managers to manage labour, consumables and cost efficiencies.
- Lead, develop and motivate managers and their teams, ensuring succession planning, training, engagement and high standards of behaviour and performance.
- Ensure compliance, risk management, safety leadership, and accurate reporting across your portfolio, promoting a culture where safety and quality are always prioritised.
- Implement sector strategy, lead change initiatives, and drive business excellence, ensuring continuous improvement and operational consistency across all sites.

You will thrive in this role if you bring:
- Strong multi‑site operational management experience within a similar service industry, with proven success in leading teams across multiple locations.
- Proven experience is delivering premium food offerings, functions and events
- Advanced commercial acumen, including budget management, business improvement strategies, and strong contract management understanding.
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building and influencing skills, with the ability to engage clients, stakeholders and diverse teams.
- A strong understanding of health, safety and environmental leadership, along with the ability to drive compliance and high standards.
- Proven experience in developing people, driving change, and delivering high‑performance outcomes in dynamic environments.
