About The Role

As an Instructional Designer, you’ll create high-quality learning and assessment content across our programmes, working closely with subject matter experts, tutors, and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure relevance and impact. This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll own projects end-to-end - designing digital learning experiences that are engaging, accessible, and built for modern learners. Working remotely, you’ll need to be self-motivated, organised, and confident managing multiple projects independently.

What you will be doing

  • Design and develop engaging learning and assessment resources across digital and blended formats
  • Translate complex content into clear, learner-friendly experiences
  • Build interactive eLearning using tools like Articulate, H5P, and HTML5
  • Collaborate with SMEs, academic teams, and stakeholders across a remote environment
  • Use AI tools to enhance efficiency and quality of content creation
  • Analyse learner data and feedback to continuously improve learning experiences
  • Own and manage projects end-to-end and support broader team goals

Desired Skills And Experience

What you will bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in instructional or learning design
  • Proven ability to work remotely and manage your own workload
  • Strong content writing skills - able to simplify complex information
  • Experience with eLearning tools (Articulate, Rise, Storyline, H5P or similar)
  • Digitally advanced - confident using advanced features across authoring tools and LMS platforms (e.g. Moodle or similar)
  • Keeps up to date with emerging ed-tech trends and tools, bringing new ideas into the team
  • Experience using or introducing innovative technology (including AI) to enhance learning experiences
  • Graphic design capability or strong visual design skills
  • Experience or exposure to HTML5 (desirable)
