Closing Date: 22/06/2026

Job Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: 28A Jean Batten Drive, Mount Maunganui 3116

Job Category: Operations

This is a pivotal role in our Roll Forming operation, where you’ll be the key link between production, transport providers, and customers to ensure products are delivered accurately, on time, and safely.

About The Role

You will work closely with the dispatch team and reporting through to the Operations Manager, coordinating the dispatch and transport for our roofing products. This includes preparing daily manifests, scheduling and booking trucks (including long-length loads), liaising with drivers, and ensuring full and on-time deliveries that exceed customer expectations.

You’ll also take ownership of inventory management — assisting with stock takes, slow-moving stock reduction, goods receipting, and maintaining an efficient, safe yard layout using 5S principles. In addition, you’ll provide excellent service in the Tradeshop, support customers with loading, and help manage our cartage contractors to ensure compliance and performance.

This is a hands-on, operational role that combines strong coordination skills with practical yard and customer-facing work in a fast-paced steel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare transport manifests and coordinate daily deliveries
  • Invoicing tasks to our customers
  • Operate gantry crane and forklifts for safe product handling
  • Manage contractor drivers and ensure compliance with safety and road transport regulations
  • Maintain high standards of stock accuracy and yard housekeeping
  • Provide proactive customer communication regarding deliveries
  • Support monthly KPI reporting on delivery performance

What We’re Looking For

  • At least five years’ experience in a similar logistics or dispatch coordination role
  • Strong knowledge of the Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, and Coromandel areas
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Proven ability in managing transport providers and customer expectations
  • Forklift and gantry crane competency (or willingness to be trained)
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and safety focus
  • Current clean driver’s licence
