Car Rental Manager

DD Motors Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Car Rental Manager to manage

operations at our car rental company in the Auckland Region in a full-time permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and play a key role in delivering excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the car rental branch to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise, train, and lead staff, fostering a high-performance culture and maintaining professional standards in all customer interactions.
  • Organise the purchase, scheduling, allocation, and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel to ensure operational efficiency and availability.
  • Oversee fleet management, including timely inspections, servicing, repairs, and compliance with all regulatory and company safety standards.
  • Liaise with clients to determine requirements, provide advice on vehicle types, hire rates, and obligations, and resolve customer complaints or feedback in a professional manner.
  • Receive orders and bookings, plan and implement rental and transportation schedules, and optimise utilisation of vehicles
  • Arrange collection, delivery, and return of vehicles, coordinating logistics to minimise downtime and maximise service availability.
  • Ensure vehicles and goods are stored, maintained, and transported in conditions that preserve their quality and meet company standards.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to increase revenue, grow market share, and enhance branch visibility.
  • Plan and execute marketing and promotional activities to attract new clients and retain existing ones customers.
  • Monitor budgets, expenses, and branch financial reporting, ensuring cost control, accurate forecasting, and profitability.
  • Maintain accurate business records, operational reports, and client documentation in line with company policies.
  • Coordinate and oversee staff rosters, manage leave requests, and allocate workforce effectively effectively to meet business demand.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to support operational and commercial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, transport legislation, and company policies.
  • Analyse operational and financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement practical solutions.
  • Flexible to work on the weekends.

Requirements

Level 5 Diploma or higher qualification or 2 years of experience in the car rental company or any other relevant experience
