About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
You'll play a key role in making sure our people are paid accurately and on time, while delivering a smooth and positive payroll experience for both employees and leaders.
You'll manage end to end payroll tasks across a large employee group - from maintaining records and processing transactions through to ensuring everything is compliant and running as it should. You'll also support onboarding and offboarding, manage employee benefits, and respond to payroll queries.
Working closely with the People & Culture team and external partners, you'll build strong relationships and support ongoing improvements to how payroll operates. You'll also be involved in our payroll replacement project, helping shape how payroll will work in the future and ensuring a smooth transition for our people.

You'll bring solid payroll experience along with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to getting things right. You're confident working across the full payroll process and comfortable managing a busy workload.
- Experience working across end-to-end payroll in a large or complex environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Confident managing a high-volume workload and meeting deadlines
- Able to explain payroll information clearly and support both employees and managers
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, legislation, and compliance requirements
- Well organised, reliable, and able to prioritise effectively
- Enjoy improving processes and finding more efficient ways of working
- Relevant payroll qualification (e.g. NZPPA Level 3) or equivalent practical experience

The appointing salary for this role will sit between $63,696 - $89,923 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
