He Angitūtanga / The Opportunity
Compass Group NZ is seeking an experienced National Manager – Retention, based in Auckland to lead contract retention and revenue growth across our diverse sector portfolio.
Reporting into the Director - Growth, this role is responsible for setting and delivering a national retention strategy, supporting operational teams, strengthening client partnerships, and ensuring we consistently deliver on our promises. You’ll play a critical role in protecting and growing revenue, improving client satisfaction, and positioning Compass Group as a trusted long‑term partner.
Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities
- Lead national contract retention and revenue growth, delivering strong financial and operational outcomes.
- Develop and execute retention strategies aligned to sector trends and changing market conditions.
- Partner closely with Operations to support contract performance and long‑term client relationships.
- Build and lead a high‑performing retention team through clear direction, coaching, and accountability.
- Strengthen senior client and internal stakeholder relationships, locally and globally, to share best practice and lift capability.
He Kōrero Mōu / About You
- A senior commercial leader with 5+ years’ experience in retention, sales, client partnerships, or business strategy.
- Proven ability to deliver sustainable growth while balancing people, clients, and commercial outcomes.
- A values‑led people leader who builds strong, collaborative teams and leads with care, trust, and accountability.
- Commercially sharp and financially astute, with strong judgement and a results‑focused mindset.
- Confident leading change and influencing at senior level to turn strategy into action.
- Strong digital capability (Microsoft 365; MS Project desirable); tertiary qualification preferred.
