About the role

We are looking for a fabulous Café Assistant to work in our lovely Greenwood Park Village in Tauranga. Working in our established café and reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will be providing exceptional service to our residents and their friends, while also helping provide a great dining experience!

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 9.30am-2.30pm, Thursday & Friday 11.30am-2.30pm= 21hrs wk.

Flexibility to pick up additional shifts when there is an event on would be an advantage.

Some of the great things you will be doing:

• Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staff
• Making amazing cups of coffee (semi-automatic machine)
• Serving and collecting meals in our café
• Assisting the Cook with food prep in the Kitchen
• General cleaning including café equipment and washing up in the kitchen
• Additional Kitchen duties as and when required

About you

You will have exceptional customer service skills, a vibrant and welcoming personality, enjoy giving service with a smile. Some things that will support your application include:

• Impeccable personal presentation
• A warm and friendly nature and a ‘Can do attitude’
• Mature and reliable with exceptional communication skills
• A good command of spoken and written English
