Mō te Tūranga | About the role

We are looking for someone proficient in Salesforce engineering and development. You will work as part of our team to design, build, and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions that align with stakeholder and customer needs. As part of the Engineering Practice at ASB Bank, we encourage our teams to work autonomously in an agile way while actively growing their skills and expertise to continuously improve outcomes for our customers.

Be passionate about delivering high-quality Salesforce technical solutions and driving engineering excellence across the platform. Strong communication skills are crucial for collaborating with stakeholders, contributing to solution design discussions, and ensuring successful delivery outcomes.

Ō Pūkenga | About you

You'll bring a strong mix of technical capability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive, curious mindset. To thrive in this role, you'll have:

  • 7+ years’ experience developing and supporting Salesforce solutions, ideally within Financial Services Cloud
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce development including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and integrations
  • Experience designing and building API and integration solutions using REST, JSON, and related technologies
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including secure, scalable, and maintainable development practices
  • Experience working across multiple systems and technologies, including cloud, on-premise, and legacy environments
  • Exposure to CI/CD practices and tools such as Azure DevOps and Octopus
  • Experience with source control, automated deployments, and DevOps ways of working
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience working in Agile environments and adapting to evolving priorities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring and guiding engineers while contributing to a strong engineering culture
  • Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering best practice

Bonus points for

  • Salesforce certifications across Platform Developer or Application Architect pathways
  • Experience with Financial Services Cloud
  • Exposure to containerisation and modern cloud engineering practices
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise platforms and third-party applications
