Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating across New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to increased volumes, we have a great opportunity for a Reach Operator to join our Logistics team in Christchurch! This is a reach-heavy role — you’ll be operating reach trucks regularly for put aways and high racking in a busy warehouse environment.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 4.00pm

About The Role - Mō Te Tūranga

You will be responsible for ensuring the timely, efficient and safe handling of freight in order for the company to achieve its target delivery goals, on time and damage free. The right candidate will be a friendly, energetic, and positive team player with a customer focussed attitude and a reliable work ethic.

Additional Key Duties Below

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently
• Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete
• Prioritise health and safety and ensure all MHE is operated in a safe and proficient manner
• Communicate effectively within a team environment

Role

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player with prior reach and counterbalance experience. Additionally, you will need:

• Full Clean Class 1 license
• OSH (WorkSafe) Forklift Operator Certificate
• Counterbalance forklift and reach truck experience
• Prior work experience in the freight/logistics industry
• A strong health and safety focus
• Experience with RF Scanners
• Continuous improvement ideas around inward and outward goods movements
